Ok, so our team didn’t make it (unless you were rooting for one that did). Superbowl Sunday is still a really fun time to kick back and laugh at the commercials, and maybe cringe at the halftime show.
Kick-off for Super Bowl 48 (whoops, sorry, XLVIII) is this Sunday, February 2nd at 3:30pm (and yes, that’s Pacific time zone). They’re holding the game at the Met Life stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey which is still extremely cold. No one is saying Polar Vortex anymore, but they are forecasting sub-zero temperatures.
We won’t suggest who will win, but we would like to point out that the last time Peyton Manning is 0-4 in playoff games when the temperature is under 40. The forecast is 20. And we don’t even want to think about the windchill factor. Met Life stadium isn’t covered.
Some may disagree, but the Seahawks have a better defense. And in games where weather is an issue, and historically in the Super Bowl, the better defense wins.
So, let’s do some trivia!
And for those who aren’t interested in the game, there are many stores having massive Super Bowl sales to try to drag in customers.
Also, if you want to stay at home and not watch reruns on other stations, go to Animal Planet and watch the Puppy Bowl with the Kitty Half Time Show. You can catch prior years on YouTube. In the late fall/early winter, Animal Planet gets puppies and kittens from shelters, and films them playing, and then edits together a show that feels like a football game. For the half time show, kittens come out and play with special motorized cat toys. Then Animal Planet helps get the talent adopted. It’s run all day, so you can watch it as well as the Super Bowl.
We are happy with whomever wins. We just want to be invited to the home that has the best snacks. And click here if you want to be really inspired by what some fans put together.
What will you be doing on Sunday afternoon?
